Keyword Kruncher Pro - Instructions
Keyword Kruncher is designed to generate list of keywords for Pay per Click advertising, particularly Google's AdWords and Yahoo's Overture pay per click programs.
With both of these you will get more traffic and possibly cheaper clicks if you have as comprehensive a keyword list as possible.
Keyword lists can also be built into website content or possibly the meta tags on web pages to help increase search engine rankings.
Building a large list by hand can be VERY time consuming so this tool was created. The limit Google allows for keywords within a single AdGroup means that you may have to add several AdGroups to enter more keywords.
Keyword Kruncher will open this web page for you so that you always remember where to check for the latest version.
Having Notepad or MS Excel open while you use this product can enhance it's capabilities since it's useful to be able to clear out the results and feed them back into the program on occasion. This also allows you to build keyword list in excess of the program's limitations.
Ths product works by allowing you to combine words and phrases.
I'll assume that you have already downloaded your copy of Keyword Kruncher
Here is a simple example.
1) Add the following set of words to column 1
date
find dates
make dates
dating
meeting people
meet people
relationships
making Friends
make Friends
2) Add the following set of words to column 2
Online
Website
Internet
Now click the button labelled "3 + 1"
As you can see it has combined all the words in column 3 with those in column 1.
Not every combination is going to be perfect but many of them are. You can remove any unwanted ones later.
Now click the button labelled "1 + 3" and it will add more to your list of results.
You can add some prefix or joining words too so why not add the following words to column 2:
tools for
tools to
sites for
ways to
how to
In this case I'm going to use this new list as a prefix. Click the button labelled "2 + 1 + 3" and now see how much is generated.
Again, not all are perfect but there are many that work very well.
This is how you combine the lists and you can do as many or as few as you want. When you play around with this for a few minutes you'll find it's pretty easy to generate massive lists of keywords in no time at all.
Once you are happy with the list you have created in the keyword results column you can then also add "quotation marks" or [square brackets] to your lists.
This copies the entire set of results and adds quotes or brackets as specified.
Note:
Quotes = phrase match
Square Brackets = exact match
Please Note.
If you are going to add quotes and brackets then your list of keyword results prior to this operation should be no more than 30,000 lines long or you will almost certainly run out of space.
How do I copy and paste my list of keywords results?
Just highlight the text you want to copy.
Then use CTRL & C (copy)
or CTRL & V (paste) to paste...
either straight into the Google AdWords screens or into something such as microsoft Excel or even notepad.
You can also use the "Copy Results to Clipboard" which will copy the entire set of results to the clipboard ready for use elsewhere.
I already have a list of keywords - can I use this to add quotes or brackets?
Yes you can. Just paste your existing list into the Results box and click the add quotes or add brackets buttons as appropriate.
Sort A - Z & Remove any Duplicates
Sort A-Z sorts the entire results set into alphabetic order. This makes the list easier to work with and understand.
When sorted a new button appears which allows you to automatically remove any duplicates.
Program Limitations
This software runs best on a PC running Microsoft Windows 98 and above, preferably running Windows XP and with a large amount of memory.
It is capable of producing a keywords list of 90,000 lines but this is dependant upon the limitations of each individual PC on which it is run. This software uses a standard Windows component called a a memo box. The capacity of memo boxes is set by the operating system itself and this means that the capabilities of this program are essentially dictated by the power of you PC. For example, if you run this program on a windows 98 machine with only 16Mb Ram you may only manage to generate about 600 keywords before system limits (set by MS Windows) prevent you from generating more. Running it on a machine with XP and 128 MB you should get at least 30,000 lines.
